Yoav joined Ilan Orly & Co. in 1999 as an associate lawyer.

Over the years, Yoav has gained wide-ranging experience in various aspects of Maritime Law and presently handles several of the firm’s key cases.

Yoav’s main practice is Cargo Claims, Chartering and Demurrage disputes, Freight Forwarders Liability, Aviation claims and Admiralty.

Yoav acts for Cargo Underwriters, Importers/Exporters, Freight Forwarders, Ocean Carriers, Port’s Companies and Cargo Terminals, and has been involved with numerous types of cargo, from general and bulk oil and grain, through to containerized carriage, giving the right advise to the associated problems usually occur.

Yoav has dealt with several trade disputes including contamination, shortage and late delivery claims and has experience of handling international trade arbitrations, including GAFTA.

Yoav leads the firm's Cargo and chartering disputes division.
